Immerse yourself in an afternoon of innovation with entrepreneurs of Jewish practice — Rabbi Vanessa Harper, Faith Leener, Dan Libenson, Dr. Steven Windmueller and Rabbi Ana Bonnheim.
1:30-2:30 p.m. | In person only: Choose one of three experiential workshops designed to challenge us to think in new ways about practicing Judaism.
•Bring Torah to life in a faux dough creation with Rabbi Vanessa Harper, a rabbi-educator and founder of Lechlechallah, an online education project that uses challah as a medium for interpreting and teaching Torah.
•For centuries, Jews have been innovating in religious and secular life. Explore the history of Jews and innovations with Dan Libenson, founder and podcast host of Judaism Unbound, a center for Jewish education, experimentation and connection.
•Change comes from seeing things differently, so take yourself outside Temple, literally, on a discovery walk with Faith Leener, chief innovation officer of the Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies. Faith is co-founder of Base, a global leader in young adult Jewish engagement.
2:30 p.m. | In person and online: Enjoy a panel discussion with our guests about what boundary-pushing look like, now and in the future, for Temple post-TE150 and for contemporary Judaism. Moderated by Rabbi Ana Bonnheim, the founding executive director of the Jewish Learning Collaborative, which supports professionals, board members and educators at Jewish organizations. Following the panel enjoy the opportunity to download the day’s insights with our panelists, Temple clergy and congregants. The panel discussion will be able to be viewed online on the Temple Livestream.
