Summer Scholarships

Temple Emanu-El YL+E, with the support of Women of Reform Judaism and Brotherhood, is proud to offer partial need-based scholarships for our youth to attend Jewish summer experiences. We partner with several other Jewish organizations who grant scholarships for immersive summer experiences, including Jewish camps and travel to Israel. Families who apply for Temple Emanu-El summer scholarships must have a Temple account that is in good standing and apply to multiple organizations for scholarship besides Temple Emanu-El. The entire process is confidential.

The deadline to apply for Temple scholarships is Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Families will be notified of their scholarship award amount by Friday, January 28, 2022. While these dates are earlier than they have been in the past, they will allow Temple families to meet summer camp deadlines, and have a better picture of what additional support is needed from other agencies.

To apply for summer scholarships, families must have a Temple account that is in good standing (current or have a payment plan in place) and apply for every scholarship opportunity for which they are eligible. Please consult the scholarship page on Temple’s website for links to other scholarship opportunities.
